Join me as I share my business class experience aboard the SWISS Airbus A350 from Zurich to Boston, highlighting the cabin space and exceptional service of the airline.

The Journey Back from Bangkok via Paris

Finally, I had the opportunity to fly back to Boston from Zurich on the SWISS Airbus A350-900. The flight lasted nearly 8 hours, and I was eagerly looking forward to experiencing business class on this brand-new aircraft, especially the modern SWISS Senses cabins.

I was aware that SWISS's business class product is quite similar to Lufthansa's, so I was mentally prepared. However, I still felt excited because SWISS pays special attention to service quality. In fact, SWISS's business class competes very well in the transatlantic airspace.

How to Book SWISS Business Class Tickets

I booked my entire return journey on a single ticket. Specifically, I used 87,500 Air Canada Aeroplan points and paid $138.02 in taxes and fees for the following flights:
11/22 TG940 from Bangkok to Milan departing at 12:35 AM and arriving at 7:10 AM
11/22 LX1613 from Milan to Zurich departing at 10:30 AM and arriving at 11:35 AM
11/22 LX52 from Zurich to Boston departing at 5:30 PM and arriving at 8:00 PM

Aeroplan points are particularly valuable when flying from Asia to the US via Europe. If you want to stop in Europe, it only costs an additional 5,000 points, allowing you to explore another city without significant extra cost.

SWISS Lounge and Boarding

I had a short layover in Zurich because my previous flight from Milan was canceled. As soon as I landed, I headed straight to the departure gate. My flight was departing from gate E56, with boarding scheduled for 4:45 PM, which was 45 minutes before takeoff. Boarding started about 10 minutes late, with priority given to first and business class passengers.

SWISS Business Class Cabin Space

The SWISS business class cabin on the A350 features 45 seats divided into two sections. The front section has 20 seats located between the first and second doors, while the rear section has 25 seats between the second and third doors. The product's flexibility is noteworthy, offering five different types of seats to choose from.

Seating Options

Among the seat types, the business suites offer the best choice with high privacy and ample personal space. Additionally, four independent window seats are ideal for solo travelers. If you're traveling with someone else, the middle pair of seats would be the best option.

The solo seats in the middle are marketed as spacious, but I found them a bit cramped. For the window seats in the last row, the choice depends on your preference for proximity to the window or the aisle.

Seat Experience

The window seat is the best option for comfort and privacy. I chose seat 7A, which is special due to the ample space beside it. This seat truly felt like a cozy private spot with a well-designed seating structure.

Flying on SWISS's A350, I felt that everything was meticulously attended to. From the interior design to the service, every detail contributed to a memorable flying experience.
