First Impressions from the Flight

My journey on the Delta A350-900 in the "Delta One" business class from Los Angeles to Atlanta was truly a delightful and memorable experience. Even though the flight lasted only about 4 hours, the atmosphere felt like a long-haul international trip. This started with my early arrival at the airport, 2.5 hours ahead of my flight, which is quite unusual for me, as I typically arrive about 45-60 minutes prior.

At the airport, I enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the Delta One lounge before boarding the plane. The Huevos Rancheros with avocado at the Delta One LAX lounge made me wish I could stay longer.

Even though I chose seat 5A by the window, I found it to be very comfortable and well-equipped.

The seat controls were user-friendly and even had an automatic mode. Each seat was also equipped with a wireless charging port, USB-C, and an adjustable reading light, making it very convenient for use when needed.

Attention to Detail

What made this flight feel like an international journey was the complete set of personal amenities from Missoni, including my favorite Marvis toothpaste. This was a significant plus, as Delta has invested in this service, unlike American Airlines or United Airlines, which provide simpler amenity kits on domestic flights.

Exquisite Menu

The meal service began shortly after takeoff, with hot towels and drink options accompanied by mixed nuts. The breakfast menu was served on a tray with a variety of dishes. I chose a cheddar cheese omelet, chicken sausage with fries, and I was very pleased with its flavor.

Throughout the flight, I was also treated to warm chocolate chip cookies and chocolate before landing, which truly enhanced the experience.

In-Flight Entertainment

As for entertainment, the IFE system was rich with hundreds of movies, TV shows, and games. Free Wi-Fi for SkyMiles members was a big advantage, allowing me to complete some important tasks before the plane took off.

Customer Service

The service on this flight, while not outstanding, was sufficient to satisfy. The cabin crew was friendly and eager to meet passengers' requests. I felt very comfortable throughout the flight.

Conclusion

We landed in Atlanta later than expected, but I still managed to make my connecting flight. While Delta One may not be a common choice for domestic flights, the amenities provided made a real difference. Access to the Delta One lounge was also a significant plus, helping me feel more comfortable during the flight.
