Introducing Primeclass Lounge

I recently had a flight from Paris to Bangkok and took the opportunity to stop by the Primeclass Lounge at Charles De Gaulle Airport (CDG). Located in Terminal 2A-2C, this is quite a peaceful spot to relax before your flight. Interestingly, this lounge used to belong to Etihad and has since been rebranded, but the overall vibe hasn’t changed much since then.

Location and Operating Hours

The Primeclass Lounge in Paris is situated in a very accessible area. After passing through security, just follow the signs, and you'll easily find your way to the lounge. It operates daily from 6 AM to 9:30 PM, making it quite convenient for many daytime flights.

Entry Requirements

This lounge isn’t part of the Priority Pass network, but it serves various airlines, including Air Canada and British Airways. So, if you have a ticket with one of these airlines, don’t hesitate to pay a visit.

My Experience at the Lounge

I arrived at the lounge around 5:40 PM, but the staff informed me that I was too early and needed to return later. They said I only had to wait 12 minutes, which I accepted and stepped out for a bit. Surprisingly, when I came back, I was still told I hadn’t waited long enough to enter. After a few back-and-forth trips, I finally met the manager and was allowed into the lounge.

Layout and Space

The Primeclass Lounge is fairly spacious, covering about 620 square meters. The main area features rows of seats facing each other, along with a TV screen for entertainment. In another section, there are bar seating and dining tables, providing a comfortable space to unwind.

Condition and Services

However, I must admit that the lounge appears to be quite worn down. It feels like there hasn’t been any maintenance since the Etihad days. Many power outlets were out of order, and the seating wasn’t as clean or sturdy as one would expect.

Food and Beverage

When it comes to food and drinks, the service level here is pretty average. They offer a few options like salads, cold cuts, and basmati rice with chicken. The beverage selection includes some alcohol, soft drinks, and a coffee machine. While not extensive, it’s sufficient to satisfy your hunger.

Restrooms and Other Amenities

The lounge has one restroom and a prayer room, but the restroom certainly doesn’t maintain the same standard as before. It was reasonably clean inside, but nothing extraordinary.

Conclusion

In summary, the Primeclass Lounge at Charles De Gaulle Airport isn’t anything special. If you need a quiet place to wait for your flight, it’s decent enough, but don’t expect too much. I wouldn’t recommend arriving too early to get in; just enough time to catch your flight will do.
