Morning in St. Vincent
I've long been enchanted by the idea of a Caribbean cruise, and this time was no exception! Early in the morning, as the Royal Clipper glided gently over the waves, I woke up ready for a day packed with adventures in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Just as the forecast promised, I was set to explore Kingstown in the morning and then head to Bequia in the afternoon. And to top it off, there was a pirate-themed costume party scheduled for the evening!
Breakfast on the Cruise Ship
Breakfast officially began at 7:30 AM. Not wanting to overindulge in a lavish spread, I opted for a light meal of vegetable omelet prepared by Chef Mark, a talented Filipino cook. The dish was both fragrant and rich, making for a wonderful start to my day.
Exploring Kingstown
After breakfast, I disembarked and took a tender to the shore. Kingstown may not be large, but its scenery is incredibly captivating. Charlie and I strolled around Heroes Square, popped into quaint markets, and immersed ourselves in the daily life of the locals, known as Vincy. Of course, I couldn’t resist picking up a few items for the pirate costume party later that night.
Saying Goodbye to Kingstown with a Delicious Coffee
Stopping by Carib-Beans café at the Kingstown ferry terminal was a brilliant decision. The café had a wonderfully cozy atmosphere, with pastel-colored walls and greenery everywhere. I ordered an iced latte, and from the very first sip, I was hooked—the flavor was simply irresistible.
On the Sea and Feeling Free
Back on the ship, the first thing I did was prepare to climb the mast. Equipped with a safety harness and a camera bag, I quickly made my way to the top. The view from up high was breathtaking, with the vast sea stretching out before me. It was a truly unforgettable experience!

Princess Margaret Beach, Bequia
After a quick lunch on board, Charlie and I headed to Princess Margaret Beach on Bequia. The crystal-clear turquoise waters were so inviting that I just wanted to jump right in. The serene and relaxing atmosphere made it hard to leave.
Exploring the Engine Room
Upon returning to the ship, one of the special activities was a tour of the engine room with Captain Sergey. It was a fascinating opportunity to learn how the entire ship’s system operates. Captain Sergey shared intriguing maritime stories that left me in awe.
Pirate Costume Party and Wrapping Up a Long Day
As the sun set, the ship continued to glide smoothly over the waves, now heading to Martinique. Dinner was lively, and the highlight was the pirate-themed costume party. Charlie and I were all set with our unique outfits, ready to join in on the fun!
As I reflected on a long day filled with memories in the Caribbean, I felt a deep sense of relaxation and happiness. Honestly, I can’t imagine anyone not wanting to experience a cruise like this!
