Discover the Premium Experience with Air France
I usually compare major airlines from the U.S., but this time I want to shift my focus to Europe and talk about Air France. Honestly, I feel that Air France has made a noticeable difference in passenger experience.
Top-Notch Flying Experience
I recently took a round-trip flight to Europe in Air France's business class, and I was quite impressed with their new offerings. The flying experience was truly fantastic. I can’t recall a time when I disembarked from an Air France flight feeling disappointed, which is quite different from some other European airlines.
When I fly with Air France, I remember a media event they held in New York back in 2014, where they unveiled their new business and first class. At that time, Air France seemed a bit slow to catch up with its competitors, but over the past 12 years, they have not only caught up but have also surpassed them.
Best Short-Haul Experience
When it comes to short-haul flights, Air France has proven itself to be a leader. Their primary aircraft for short flights is the A220, featuring a comfortable 2-3 seating arrangement, ideal for both economy and business class. Additionally, Air France continues to offer complimentary beverages, including wine and beer, while other airlines like British Airways and Lufthansa have opted out of this.

Premier First Class
Although not many people have the chance to fly first class, Air France has developed its La Premiere service, arguably the best in Europe. The ground experience is rated as the best in the world, complemented by impressive in-flight services. While the price of Air France's first class has significantly increased over time, it reflects their success as this product becomes more and more profitable.
Best Business Class
As for business class, I believe Air France offers the best product for long-haul flights. While other airlines are still using older seats, Air France has updated its fleet with modern, state-of-the-art seating. If I had to choose a business class airline among the three major European carriers, Air France would undoubtedly be my choice.
Strong Labor Relations
Europe is known for its strong unions, but labor relations at Air France are currently very good. I can't recall the last time I saw a strike here significantly impacting passengers. This is in stark contrast to Lufthansa, where strikes occur frequently.
Rapid Starlink Wi-Fi Implementation
Air France is also the first major airline in Europe to sign a contract with Starlink to provide in-flight Wi-Fi. They are ahead of their competitors with plans to equip their entire fleet with Starlink by the end of 2026. This shows that Air France is making efforts to enhance the passenger experience.
Consistently Excellent Service
While everyone has different experiences with service, I find that the staff at Air France—from ground crew to flight attendants—are all very courteous and professional. The service here is consistent and rarely leaves me disappointed.
Brand-Focused Strategy
Air France aims not only to expand its scale but also to create a luxurious product. The airline primarily invests in smaller aircraft, unlike competitors who focus on larger planes. This indicates that Air France is proactively building its premium brand.
Conclusion
When it comes to Air France, I feel proud of what the airline has achieved over the years. If you’re looking for a fantastic flying experience in Europe, you should definitely consider Air France.
