During our stay at Arapahoe Valley Ranch, we spent our days exploring nature, camping, and enjoying communal dinners in the evenings. Each morning, we canoed around the nearby creek and engaged in discussions about bear encounters. The rest of our day was often dedicated to hiking around Monarch Lake.

The Smallest Bar in Colorado
Arapahoe Valley Ranch is also home to the Red Dog Saloon, known as the smallest bar in Colorado, measuring just 80 square feet with four seats. This cozy spot is perfect for enjoying cocktails, beers, and wines in an intimate and nostalgic setting.
The bar is open on Friday and Saturday evenings from 7 PM to 10 PM and tends to fill up quickly during peak hours. It’s the ideal place to unwind after a day of exploration and soak in the mountain atmosphere.
