Rosewood Bangkok offers premium services and amenities for travelers. Learn more about pricing, location, and highlights.
Overview of Rosewood Bangkok
During my birthday trip that took me to the Golden Triangle, I had the chance to stay at four different hotels in Bangkok, a city renowned for offering great value in luxury accommodations. Today, I want to share my experience at Rosewood Bangkok, which opened its doors in 2019 and was my first stop on this journey.
As a well-known hotel brand, I was eager to see how this hotel measured up, especially when compared to Rosewood Hong Kong. In this review, I’ll provide an overview and key points for Vietnamese travelers to consider before making a reservation.
Useful Information for Vietnamese Travelers
Visa: Vietnamese travelers do not need a visa for stays under 30 days in Thailand. Just make sure your passport is valid and you have a return flight ticket.
Getting to Bangkok: From Vietnam, you can fly directly from major cities like Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) and Hanoi (HAN) to either Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) or Don Mueang Airport (DMK). Round-trip ticket prices typically range from 2,500,000 VND to 5,000,000 VND, depending on the airline and booking time.
Costs: Room rates at Rosewood Bangkok are around 7,500,000 VND per night during peak season. However, if you book through promotional programs like American Express, you can save significantly and enjoy additional perks.
Booking and Pricing
I booked my stay at Rosewood Bangkok for approximately 320 USD (equivalent to 7,500,000 VND) for one night. Notably, I used my Amex card, which granted me free breakfast, a room upgrade, and a 150 USD credit to use at the hotel. This is a fantastic value that’s hard to pass up.
Rosewood Bangkok stands alongside top-tier hotels like Park Hyatt Bangkok and Waldorf Astoria Bangkok, so I was excited to see what my experience would be like.

Convenient Location
Rosewood Bangkok is situated in the city’s central business and embassy district on Ploenchit Road in the Pathumwan area. The impressive 30-story building exudes luxury from the first glance.
Upon arrival by car, the hotel boasts a spacious entrance that is easy to access. If you’re using public transport, the BTS Skytrain provides direct access to the hotel, making it very convenient for navigating the city.
Interior Design and Service
Upon entering Rosewood Bangkok, the reception area is located on the first floor, while the main lobby is on the seventh floor. I received a warm welcome and completed the check-in process quickly, ensuring I could start relaxing right away.
The main lobby features a modern design that is not overly spacious. From here, it’s easy to access the dining floors and lounge areas. During check-in, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that I had been upgraded from a deluxe room to an executive room.
Rooms and Amenities
The executive room at Rosewood Bangkok spans about 42 m² and includes a king-size bed along with a sitting area. I loved the room layout, which featured a sofa and an armchair, creating a comfortable space for work or dining.
The room also includes a minibar stocked with complimentary tea and Nespresso coffee, as well as a selection of beverages and snacks for sale. This added convenience made my stay even more enjoyable.
Room Comforts
The bathroom is spacious, equipped with a bathtub, shower, and double sinks. The toiletries are packaged in reusable containers, which not only are environmentally friendly but also enhance the luxurious experience.
Overall, the room is well-equipped, featuring a flat-screen TV and ample closet space, allowing me to organize my belongings neatly.
Conclusion
In summary, Rosewood Bangkok is a great choice for those seeking a luxurious hotel with excellent service and a convenient location. While it may not match Rosewood Hong Kong in design and quality, its reasonable pricing and accompanying offers make it a worthwhile option for your trip to Bangkok.
