Service Quality Assessment

While SWISS may charge extra for various factors, the in-flight service in economy class doesn’t differ much from that of budget airlines. The seating is relatively cramped and there’s no Wi-Fi or power outlets available. The high cost without significant perks can feel unjustified, especially if you’re purchasing a one-way ticket.

On the bright side, if you're flying from London Heathrow, the ability to connect to other destinations via SWISS or Star Alliance is a plus, along with access to lounges and upgrades for frequent flyers. However, for a simple flight, you may not be able to extract much value.

We landed on time in Zurich, where my family was waiting at the baggage claim. The flight with SWISS met expectations: clean and punctual. However, if you’re seeking a better experience than British Airways or other low-cost carriers, you might not find it here.
