The Air France Lounge Experience

When I decided to travel to Bangkok via Paris, I had the chance to visit the Air France Lounge at Montreal Airport (YUL) before my flight. This was the perfect spot to unwind before takeoff, and I’m excited to share a bit about this lovely retreat with you.

Prime Location

The Air France Lounge is conveniently located in the international terminal, near Gate 57. Access is restricted to passengers flying to international destinations outside of the United States. To find the lounge, simply turn left upon entering the international area and follow the signs to Gate 57.

Flexible Operating Hours

The lounge is open daily from 5 AM to 10 PM. During the afternoon, it tends to get crowded as it caters to Air France and KLM passengers. However, mornings are usually quieter, as the lounge is also open to Priority Pass holders.

Access Requirements

Primarily, the Air France Lounge serves Air France and KLM passengers, but Priority Pass members are also welcome. Do keep in mind that if you are a Priority Pass member, your stay in the lounge is limited to two hours.

Modern Design

The lounge isn’t overly large, covering around 490 square meters and accommodating 149 guests. What I loved most was the modern design, filled with natural light and a spacious feel thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows. The center features café-style seating and cozy communal areas.

Comfortable Seating Areas

In the bar area, you'll find high seating and a communal table. Along the windows are modern leather chairs arranged to face each other, creating an inviting and warm atmosphere. Close to the entrance, there’s also a small workspace with a view.

Restroom Facilities

The lounge features restrooms and shower facilities located at the back of the bar area. There are a total of seven restrooms, three of which have showers. Each restroom has its own door, providing extra privacy for users.

Diverse Menu

During my afternoon visit, I was pleased to find a variety of self-serve dishes, from salads and cured meats to hot options like beef stew, pasta with sun-dried tomato sauce, and much more. At the bar, you’ll also find a Lavazza coffee machine and self-serve soft drinks.

Premium Beverages

The drink menu is equally impressive, varying throughout the day. In the evening, you might discover a more extensive cocktail list, but honestly, just one Negroni was enough to make me feel luxurious!

Final Thoughts

The Air France Lounge in Montreal truly deserves its reputation as an ideal stopover with its modern design and bright atmosphere. It’s not just for Air France and KLM customers but also for those with a Priority Pass. This is a perfect place to relax and recharge before your flight, offering beautiful views, delicious food, and delightful drinks.
